School Enrolment Week

19th November 2018 - 23rd November 2018 is school enrolment week for children who will start primary 1 in August 2019!

All children who this applies to, who attend Seashells have been given their enrolment paperwork and have been asked to complete them and take them to their intended primary school by Friday 23rd November, along with their child's birth certificate and proof of address.

Beach Learning

Our staff have all taken beach training and forest school training.

Today I want to share with you some of the photos taken which was all planned for the children using the inspiration and imagination Mark our trainer enthusiastically shared with the staff team.

The pictures show the childrens art work made in groups of 4 children to 1 adult.

The children used their imaginations to create art work that represented a story or nursery rhyme they enjoy. We had twinkle twinkle little star, the 3 pigs and a castle to represent Humpty Dumpty with all the kings horses and all the kings men. Great fun was had by all.

I have also included for reference our childrens beach risk assessment- we like children to assess risks and talk about it. This also links to our GIRFEC and Curriculum of excellence- the Scottish curriculum we follow.

A very important job but also in a fun way children will engage.

Friends Of The Generations

Seashells Nursery are working in partnership with Salt Greens to build relationships between the young and the elderly.

A successful inspection celebrated in our local paper!

Enrolment for two, three and four year olds can be funded through Early Learning and Childcare places!

If your child will be eligible for a funded place from August 2016 to June 2017 please remember to fill in an enrolment form. Please feel free to visit us anytime to have a look around the nursery Monday to Friday between 9 am and 3pm.

We would like to remind you of our new nursery times, effective from 18th August 2015;

Breakfast club; 8.20am
Our morning session: 08:50am to 12.00pm
Our lunch club: 12.00pm to 12:30pm
Our afternoon session 12:30pm to 3.30pm.

FEES

Please remember the fees for this year are:

Lunchtime session from 12.00pm to 12:30pm - £1.50
Afternoon session from 12:30pm to 3.30pm- £7

Daycare £3.50 an hour.
